3T in a recent chart ... and NOT a good one! Grrrr!

Last week I was just flicking through the music channels and 3T were on! YAY! The '"Anything" video! Double YAY!

BUT ...

They were being shown as part of the 'Worst Boybands EVER!' countdown! At number 16! WHAT THE EFF! I have emailed the channel to ask why they were in it - maybe some more of us should email them too: smashhits@emap.com

I was wondering about the chart I saw recently - "Worst 20 Boybands Ever". I'm a little curious as to why 3T were included in this chart! I do not want to sound like some nostalgic ex-teenybopper, but I'm sad to see them in such a chart as, in a time when lame boy-bands were abundant, they were one of the most talented groups around. They were, in the years they were around, the 3rd highest selling act after the Spice Girls & Boyzone, which is an achievement that shouldn't be ignored considering the phenomenon of the Spice Girls & the fact that Boyzone suddenly gained more success with Take That breaking up. Also, the term 'boyband' tends to now refer to a manufactured group, which they, being brothers, are not.

Could you please let me know the premise for their inclusion in this chart.

Ah ... but it is! Just cos I AM the nostalgic saddo I claim I'm not! LOL! And also I would feel bad when I see 3T next if I didn't stick up for my boys! :yes:

Suffice to say, I have not had a reply yet! They prolly haven't stopped trying to figure out if it's a genuine letter or not! LOL! And laughing at it!:homer:

Uhm, I didn't watch the rest cos I went off in a huff! Plus the others that were in it were TRULY bad and I just couldn't stand to watch it!

I mentioned it to my friend yesterday who lived with me when 3T were around the first time and was exposed to my 3T-riddled world to a high degree, and he was shocked they'd offended anyone enough to warrant being in that countdown!

^^^^ :lol: I appreciate that,hon but do you know what, these stupid lame-o chart things are pretty much made up by people who couldn't care less, and who probably make up "The Best Boybands in the World" charts also (guarenteed 3T will be on that without a doubt). It's really just an excuse to show one of their videos, sometimes for the giggles and the memories, you know?

It's like, for example, putting a Spice Girls song on a chart comprising of the worst pop songs in the history of ever but then putting them on another chart declaring them one of the greatest girl groups of all time! These charts don't mean anything, they're not public opinion polls.

Good for you for speaking up though, although I suspect that chart was compiled many moons ago, nevertheless I hope you get an explaination. ;)

Chill. These are the same kind of people who make up stuff like, "WORST CELEBRITY SURGERY!... MICHAEL JACKSON AT #1, WOW, WHAT AN UGLY F*CKER!"

It's all in opinion and what the public wants to hear. The public wants to hear that Michael's nephews are doing badly. :yes: Hell, the public likes hearing that anyone who is good at what they do can't produce children who do the same thing just as well or better.
