Ive ben wondering why there is a lack of daily MJ news updates from the mods here? On other mj boards, the mods are very proactive in posting all the latest mj news and info for their members. How come this dosnt happen here?? Members of this board seem to be missing out on stuff, and its only due to the members posting bits and piesces of info that they find, that keeps the MJ sections on MJJB active. Why isnt there at least one mod willing to take on the job of posting MJ news and info for the members here?

I think the majority of our moderator team have very busy lives and really don't have adequate time to search for news. I know I don't and I am unemployed. Although I can't answer for them, I'm fairly certain every other team member works full time or is a student.

To be honest, even if I had the time, I wouldn't have a clue where to begin looking for news. It seems whenever I do come across something, someone has already posted about it.

I think we will look into finding a way to provide better news for members though.

thanks for replying Naomi, it just seems odd to me that other mj boards have either news teams, or the mods actively search and post the news and here on mjjb the members miss out on up to date news and info. It kinda feels like the mods/admin are not interested in informing the members here.

actaully its very easy to get up to date info and news, you just need to be interested and be abit resourceful!!!

Well i think its up to everyone to provide news, If a fan finds news or knows news why aren't they posting it. It annoys me that some fans sit on their backside and expect everyone else to find news for them.

I subscribed to Google Alerts for Mj and i get an email once a day.

I don't understand why you think a moderator should be the one to provide this for the board? There are plenty of capable members here that have the time and resources to post this information for others to view. It doesn't have to be a member of staff in my opinion. Everyone should be able to pitch in. This board is created by fans, for fans, therefore we all should help each other out.

Not every forum team is online 24/7 and 100% dedicated to the website. Perhaps the sites that you are saying this happens on, have more time on their hands and nothing better to do. ;)
