How about a section for the over 18s?

I agree in theory but that would open up a whole new topic of knowing who was actually over 18. It could stem to most members creating duplicate accounts putting in a new age.

Why is it so difficult to make a section for something thats not going to be sexual just to debate for 16+ members?

....Yeah and the mods will PM all of the 16+ members with the password. Or..if you do make it, you can email all of the 16+ members, telling them about it. Have it only visible to them, so don't make a thread about it. Make it private.

Definitely should be 16+, though this is really ageist.

There's a few people here that are my age that are brilliant and there are a few people here over 18 that are by far some of the stupidest people I've ever met.

Is this section even necessary? Won't it divide the members into groups even more than we already are? I mean ... there aren't many members below 16 anyway, is there? A 15 year old member can be much more mature and have a lot more interesting comments to make about a topic than a 23 year old ... IMO.

And if a topic is related to sex, it should go into the "he drives me wild" section. If not, why not let the members below 16 discuss it too? i agree :) there are only few members under 16. So it wont be fair for these 4-5 members to be exceptons. Not that i have a problem with such a section on the contrary it will keep us from the confusion! But i think it should be for members over 18,simply because there wont be a point creating a new section if 90% of the members will have access and it wont be fair for the rest 10%.

Personally, I don't think there's a need for an over 18 (or 16) section.
There are many other Mj forums out there with an over 18 section.
I don't think MJJB needs it. It'll all get out of hand & like some of you have said. A lot of people lie about their age online, so who's to know if they are 18 (or 16) +?!
But then, if admin (or whom ever) accepts their request & allows an under 18 (16) to view the section, it will be their fault for allowing a minor to view the section in question & can get in a lot of trouble for it.
So no. I don't believe MJJB needs an over 18 (16) section.
