Michael has a white relative?

I heard once that Michael has a white grandparent or great-grandparent, is this true? What relative is it?

Edit: This is basically asking, does Michael have any white genes?

Edit 2: Also, please do NOT get this closed like it did on MJJC... No discussing REALLY personal stuff...

i think he does, cuz joe has light eyes, also i read katherine jackson's book in the early 90s and she said her dad was light skinned....so somewhere down the line, there would be a white relative, i think. :yes:

The only bit that Michael mentions about any sort of mixed races in LWMJ is that Joe has blue eyes... I'm looking through my transcripts again, but I'm pretty sure that's the only time he mentions it.

mj has white ancestry on his mothers side goin back several generations about 4X great grandparents . and has americna indian on his fathers side. alot if not most blacks in america have mixed heritage because of things such as rape by slave owners and living in native communities after being freed from slavery

I know you said most blacks in America have some white ancestry due to slave rape, but do you have any proof of Michael saying something (interview, book, et cetera?)

I'm getting sources for various Michael topics for a FAQ on a really big non-MJ forum to finally answer people's questions about his skin, his kids, and the accusations... and trust me, it'll be hard to convince people without sources, even if it IS expected.

there maybe info in joes book that was released in germany. i know he talks about his family history but not sure whether katherine is mentioned in it. other info is founds in biographies about mj. tarobarelli (sp)talks about katherines history at the begining. and being named as mulleto on the census which i believe is a term for mixed

How was he able to check the census if he didn't ask her personally? The 1940 census is covered by a 72-year-privacy law and isn't viewable by the public until 2012. She was born in 1930, but was born a month after the census for 1930 was taken, so I don't think she was included in it?

Either way, I can see how her side would be mixed, as her family is from the south (shown in Private Home Movies & her birth location is in Alabama), but they moved to Indiana when she was 4.

Even Joe's side could be mixed, considering his family is from Arkansas and that's still in the south.

the census wasnt from when katherinewas born it was from decades b4 that a couple of generations listing her ancestor possibly kendal brown (became scruse) as mulleto.in the first edition of the bookat the begining but the second edition is probably the same.

joes side is mixed with native indian but theres prob white in there somewhere aswell

Michael has white ancestory on both his mother and fathers side of the family. Both sets of Michael's great grandparents on both his parents side are listed as "mulatto" (which is an old term mixed race race black & white).

In Joseph Jackson's autobiography, he does state that he has native american and white ancestry.

Also not all African American's have white ancestry due to rape. Some white ancestry is due to marriage. For example, Mohammed Ali's great grandfather on his mother's side was an Irish man who was married to his black great grand mother. So we don't no exactly if Michael's white ancestry is through rape or not, although depending no how much white ancestry he has is likely some of it will be from rape.

Well, like many other African Americans, Michael is of African, European, and Native American descent. However, he is mainly of African descent, and was raised in AA culture, and is therefore an African American.

If I'm not mistaken, his father Joe was half AA and half NA, and also had more distant European ancestry. His mother also had European American ancestry, as her grandmother was a French woman. Both sets of his great grandparents were listed as being "mulatto" (a mix of African American and European American).
