On Amazon UK there are already some entries (including this one):

Amazon.co.uk: Triumph: Music: The Jacksons (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Triumph-Jacksons/dp/B0012GMX8S/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1201619973&sr=1-7)

Product details
Audio CD (1 Feb 2008 )
Format: Import
Label: Sony Extra Value
ASIN: B0012GMX8S

But why is it listed as an import? And does anybody know more about SonyBMG's sub-division named "Sony Extra Value"? Is it a distribution like Legay Records which is responsible for re-releasing old classics.

Here are all re-issues:

The Jacksons (1976) (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jacksons/dp/B0012GMZNQ/ref=sr_1_1544?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1201654250&sr=1-1544) (2008 re-issue)

Goin' Places (1977) (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Goin-Places-Jacksons/dp/B0012GN0LW/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1201629438&sr=1-4) (2008 re-issue)

Destiny (1978 ) (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Destiny-Jacksons/dp/B0012GMUS6/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1201629488&sr=1-8) (2008 re-issue)

Triumph (1980) (Amazon.co.uk: Triumph: Music: The Jacksons) (2008 re-issue)

Live (1981) (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Live-Jackson-5/dp/B0012GMWUW/ref=sr_1_22?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1201629582&sr=1-22) (2008 re-issue)
*NOTE: The product info at Amazon is FALSE!*

Victory (1984) (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Victory-Jacksons/dp/B0012GMZBI/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1201629618&sr=1-7) (2008 re-issue)

and the only one which doesn't belong to The Jacksons:
Blood On The Dance Floor - HIStory In The Mix (1997) (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Blood-Dance-Floor-History-Mix/dp/B0012GMWMA/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1201629901&sr=1-4) (2008 re-issue)

AND AGAIN: PLEASE HAVE IN MIND THAT IT IS NOT YET CONFIRMED IF THESE RE-RELEASES ARE REALLY DIGITALLY REMASTERED!

It would be great if this is true. All of my Jacksons CDs have a much lower volume compared to more recent albums. I have to turn the volume right up on my ipod when listening to the jacksons and it still isn't loud enough.

Thanks for the info

If so, awesome :D

It means they enhanced the sound. Makes it more clear and crisp and turns the volume up.

This is going to get alot more attention on The Jackson family. So, thats good because thriller 25 is coming out soon. I think they planned this. Also, I never see Blood On The Dance Floor in stores, so now I can buy it lol.

YES! :crazylol:

I WOULD BUY ALL THE ALBUMS IF THEY ARE REMASTERED!

The ones I bought are pretty low in volume and I don't have some of them cos I just couldn't find them!

I hope they have more stuffs in the booklets. x:

Because you can appreciate those albums a lot more when they're remastered digitally.
They sound a lot clearer and better.
Plus, some of these albums are no longer available in many record stores. This way they'll all be available again and fans who didn't have a chance to buy them before, will now have the chance to hear those songs. And if they obtained them some other illegal way, they can now get legit copies which Michael gets paid royalties for. :)

Also: that let's Sony Music cash in on the success of Thriller 25 even more. Which is alright in my opinion since they're really putting Thriller 25 out there and it's getting some good promotion and good radio play - which is also something that is partially down to Sony Music.
So yippie for Michael, cause he gets paid for every copy of every album sold and yippie for Sony Music who also get paid.
Yippie for us fans because we'll get the albums in an improved sound quality. :D

I don't have 'Going places.' Why does the entry include 'Blood on the dance floor.'?

lol The album sounds so nice. It doesn't need to be remastered. lol

WTF but why?

Why not !

The Jacksons albums need to be remastered and re-released as their brilliant albums. Those albums deserve to be remastered.

I'd say Destiny and Triumph are very underrated album, and in my opinion Destiny is one of the greatest album of the 1970's.

I hope so. i think remastered reissues are long over due for The Jacksons albums. They would sound so crisp and clear.

You know what MJ is like with attention to detaii, imagine all the different layers of the song that you'd never heard before. That's something I love the most about MJs music.

BOTDF is not going to be digitally remastered as it has always been digitally mastered.

It's only speculated if the Jacksons albums are going to be.

I already have all The Jacksons albums, so unless there's new material on them I don't think I will buy them. But it's a great thing for those fans who havn't been able to find The Jacksons cd's where they live. I know they are VERY hard to come across here in Denmark.

The albums are easily available in many online stores. Those who want to download illegally would continue to do so. But yes, this may renew sales of these albums. But nothing big for fans to look forward to.

OT: MissWorld -Omg your siggy is amazing  I just stared at those MJ pictures for like 30mins

Anywho, I'd like a re-issue of the Jacksons albums. I cant find any Jacksons stuff in my record store, which is rediculous. They have the lowest Jacksons stock and Michael stock to exsist.
