01.02.2008 : Odeon to screen exclusive Thriller video
We're delighted to announce that Odeon cinemas are showing the enhanced version of the full length Thriller short film for FREE at selected screens as a major UK first on the Friday and Saturday before release (8th & 9th February)

The exclusive screenings will be held at Odeon cinemas in the following places. Please contact your local Odeon for more information.

Covent Garden - 8th & 9th Feb
Hatfield - 8th & 9th Feb
Kingston - 8th & 9th Feb
Leicester - 8th & 9th Feb
Manchester - 8th & 9th Feb

Jelous! There are no Odeon in Ireland but the company I work for here run a few of the Odeon cinemas. I hope they decide to show it here.

well me and baby bubbles are definatly going to this, we could meet up in Leicester Square outside the Hippodrome. We asked yesterday at the cinema but the woman said it wasnt 100% confirmed yet and to call back in a few days. I am going to go back tomorrow and see if I can get any more info

yipppppppeeeeee, got my tickets today, me and baby bubbles are going to both friday and saturday screenings. Its at 11.40pm, going to be sooo much fun, you just know its going to turn into a sing along/ dance along cos everyone just wont be able to help themselves!!! The Odean staff are in for a huge surprise!!!

there werent that many people at the one i went to but hatfield is basically not that great place and they have done like zero promotion for it when i went to get my tickets the person on the desk even commented on how they couldnt be bothered with it etc but there was about 30 people

the people behind me were singing along to it and were commenting about how they remembered it coming out the first time when they were kids which was cool and how they didnt believe the rumours about him being broke and that they know he is gonna make a come back

there were loads of people filming it on their phones and taking pictures with cameras :lol:

it was cool though i should think the london one was more fun due to more fans being there rather than random people

sorry I didnt post last night, baby bubbles starye with me last night cos she missed her last train. We put on Munich History concert and I got a bit distracted........

anyway last night was soo much fun. I managed to drag along one of my non fan friends too. Well she is a fan but not like us:lol: she likes his music and is always interested in my mj stories.

We got there abot 11.30 and there were soo many people there. Mostly all fans who I recognised but a few random people too which was brillant to see.As soon as the doors oped though, it was the same story, pushing, queue jumping etc, when there really was no need for it.

Inside the cinema there was a really good atmosphere, like being at a fan party, chanting, screaming etc , all before the lights went down. The cicnema staff seemed to be enjoying too and someone, who I think must be the manager was taking photos before the lights went down.

As soon as the lights went down and the curtains went back, everyone screamed.
It sooo amazing to see it on a big screen , with proper sound. You could hear everyone singing and doing all te actions which just added to the atmosphere. As almjsaid they played it twice, which was crazy.

Im going again tonight, I wonder will they play it twice again

I wonder cinemas up and down the country will do the same thing towards the end of the year? The video was premiered on December 3rd 1983 after all so it makes a lot of sense to do that.
