The very first music video I saw was "Billie Jean" when I was about 5 or 6 years old. I was hooked from that moment on!

I was but a wee little lad when Free Willy came out. (So for years, "Will You Be There" was the "Free Willy Song".

) And a video marathon that I watched with my grandmother did the trick. Between my cousin and I we had a few albums. I dunno, he was just always there.

I wasn't really a hardcore fan until Invincible came out and You Rock My World got really popular. I was 10 or 11.

I was raised listening to Janet. My first memory of her was 'Together Again' - I think I was six when it came out. Although I knew of Michael, I didn't really pay much attention to him or his music because I was young. My first memories were when my Dad showed me the 'Thriller' and 'Billie Jean' videos. I love them, but still didn't take it any further.

But when Michael died, I was strangly devestated. I didn't really know why it affected me so much. His music got played constantly and he was always on TV. So I decided to find out more about him, I only really knew him as Janet's brother and if I'm honest I did think he was weird. Now I feel lucky that i've got to know him and see what a wonderful man he is and I'm a massive fan of both Michael and Janet now

My three cousins got me into Michael... I remember coming to their house and theyd always have Moonwalker or Thriller playing. Thriller is what got me though. There was a certain magic about it. How creepy the video was followed by his voice. Just a unique feeling I got when I listened to him or seen him. But, when I saw Moonwalker that was it. I was hooked. I went through a period where I didnt seek him out though. I just enjoyed it when his music came on or a video was shown. Then, when I hit 12 or 13 I started to seek music, taped, dvds, etc... Thats when I became a fanatic.

I dont even listen to Thriller that much now, its a skip song. lol I totally played it out like a long time ago.

I have been a MJ fan all of my life, I basically grew up with this man because he was mostly what my Dad played in the house..so everytime MJ was playing on the stereo, or whenever he made an appearance on the TV screen (Music Videos, Interviews) it was a HUGE event!!!! I will admit that the period that he was on hiatus (2002-2009), my attention started being on other artists, but when he died he was the center of attention again..I still can't believe that he isn't here and I'm still pretty sad/upset about it..but he is living on through me and other MJ Believers!!
