New Book: Michael Jackson's Dangerous Liasons:Arvizo, Barnes, Bhatti, Chandler, Culkin...The A-Z of all the King's Boys by Carl Toms
A must read for those who believed he truly loved children but are not so sure about his innocence...Michael Jackson spent the wedding night of his second marriage not with his bride but with his best-man, an eight-year old boy. His first marriage ended in divorce after he had been on holiday with two young boys without his wife. To kneejerk loyalists, the King of Pop's love for children was innocent:end of story. For the more reflective among us, whether we are intrigued, baffled, appalled, emphatic, or even all of these things, Michael Jackson's Dangerous Liasons provides the definitive review of his numerous special friendships. Armed with insights from a range of disciplines psychology, sociology, moral philosophy Carl Toms spent many years researching the megastar's boy-love. He delves deeply into the sources of Michael's enigmatic identity, soul and genius while keeping a skeptical eye on the assumptions and values of the King's detractors. Toms' is the only book to examine thoroughly Michael's trial on child abuse charges without losing sight of the increasingly well documented but surprisingly little known or understood facts about earlier allegations. It exposes the falsity of persistient efforts to whitewash the record by inventing for Michael a 'phoney normal, or plain vanilla gay,' sexuality. The author probes Michael's intense identification with Peter Pan, the eternal boy, acknowledging the profound signifigance of this attachment but discarding the welter of dated Fruedian psychobabble it has spawned. Refusing to settle for the cliches about Michael's lost childhood, Toms examines groundbreaking research into intimate man-boy contacts in order to illuminate the real nature of Michael's dangerous liasons and the surprising challenge they present to our moral certainties. Question: Are you skeptical about his innocence? I'm not! I believe this book is one of many, used to assasinate his character and stain his legacy. Any thoughts? Thanks for responding. |

Excuse my ignorance, or naiveness... But I just don't understabnd why anyone would want to hurt his character?
I mean half of the people that write books about him, probaqbly have never met him. Therefore, he has done nothing wrong to them. Why would they need to try to destroy him? especially when he can't fight back? |

People writing books should at least be in touch with their subject. The fact that most of these 'authors' arent - loses credibility with me. I'm just saying. |

I've become like a lionnese when it comes to Michael. I love him since more than 17 years now, I believed in him from the very beginning and NOT blindly. I believe in him cause he's innocent and nothing can prove me the contrary. NONE of their theories are solid, NONE of the facts they put up to show him guilty don't have a root, they are SUPPOSITIONS, and suppositions are not facts. This is cowardy, they never met Michael, but they have the face to come with books like that, that's an enigma for me.
Have they EVER been at Neverland during 1993 trial? Have theye EVER been in Michael's room and SEE with their own eyes what this kid pretends? No one was. I could never ever believe someone who wants to eat him like an eagal just because of money "hunting-the-freak" saga. Usually things like that don't touch me because it's bull**** and bull**** goes to the trash, but god, how dare you write such a book based on nothing and manipulate the minds of other people who don't know details about these trials! He is always hunted because media created such a hyperbolical image around him like if he is the most undiscovered specimen that ever born. That's why there will be more books like this one. People just try and see how it works, how much money they get for their "masterpiece". I really believe that no person who knows Michael and his heart could ever be at least undecised about what to believe. It's absurd, I mean...what on earth should he do for people to leave this trash aside from him?How can you speak about a person you never met? how can you talk s**t about someone you never knew?It makes my blood boil! |
